A New Solve It! Squad Musical

Hello friends,
A lot has happened since we last posted an update! Namely, this November, over three weeks' time, we rehearsed & produced four performances of How the Grunch Cribbed Christmas live in Los Angles!! 🤩🎊🎤 The show was an absolute smash success and the audiences were so lovely & generous. We couldn't have asked for a more magical clopening weekend 🤗🤣🥹🪄
🚨🤫 SPOILER ALERT: The Grunch did NOT crib Christmas. In addition to the fictional toy drive put on by the Solve it Squad in the show, we did a real toy drive for Children's Hospital Los Angeles at the theatre. Thank you so much to those who came out not only to laugh & play, but also to donate to a great cause! We have to admit, as people who have not frequented toy stores much in the past decade we were surprised & delighted by what children's toys are like nowadays 🧸🪀🚂...It's not just all ouija boards, wooden trains, and balls anymore...🧓🏼🏉👴🏻
Additionally, we tricked out the Mayberry Community Center lobby (i.e. the theatre lobby) with our *ahem* handmade in-world Backer Thank You List! 🛠 We couldn't have brought The Grunch to life without your generous contributions. Thank you, yet again, for supporting our joyous lil' holiday musical! 🙏🥰🎵 A quick note: a handful of names were accidentally left off the board because of a clerical error and we deeply apologize for that! We will be sure to include everyone who responded to this tier on BackerKit in the immortalized digital credits.
If you weren't able to attend the show in person (which we assume is most of you since the theatre only had a 99 seat capacity 😜), the opening night performance is now available as a Digital Ticket! 'Tis the season of giving! 👏🎁😄 In addition to mounting the show, we have been hard at work designing fun & memorable rewards, from the 😵💫 SiS Dreidel Game to 🏆 Unique SiS NFTCBs, to get you in the Grunch-mas spirit. We cannot wait to see what you think! ❄️JIAVANI is LISA HOFFMAN
TCB fans have seen Jiavani (she | him) in recent productions like This Could Be On Broadway and Solve It Squad: Back in Biz. Other credits include Between Two Ferns: The Movie, Reno 911! and the world renowned musical improv troupe Baby Wants Candy. Jiavani offers voice talent to tv shows like We Baby Bears on Cartoon Network and is a co-producer of LA's most EXTRA queer+Asian comedy variety show, Asian AF Presents: Gaysian AF.
❄️COREY is ORLANDO LaCROIX
Corey is a graduate of The Juilliard School and The University of Michigan. He has been a member of Team StarKid for over a decade and is ecstatic to make his debut stage appearance with Tin Can Bros. Television credits include The Grinder, Stuck In The Middle, and Station 19. He recently completed a world premiere of The Canadians by Adam Bock and received multiple ovation nominations for his work in Dutchmasters (Rogue Machine Theatre). You may also recognize Corey as Quinn, from TCB's Wayward Guide For The Untrained Eye!

Hello Grunch Fam!
As summer begins to wane, we're hard at work writing & producing How The Grunch Cribbed Christmas over at TCB HQ 🌅 ✍️ And we're getting more and more excited to share The Grunch with you as each week passes! This new Solve It Squad holiday adventure is shaping up to be quite the sweet, wacky, and perverse musical😜🎶 There will be more news to share about creative & casting as we near November, but in the meantime here are a couple key Backer updates...
If you would like to join us in LA this November 18 - 20, 2022 to see the show live, tickets are on sale now! Head on over to THIS LINK to purchase tickets and learn more about the performances, venue, & our Covid policy. There are a limited number of live tickets available for each show, so we suggest snagging those sooner rather than later if you plan on attending. If you can't make it, digital ticket info will be released later this fall!
We'll be sending out many of The Grunch Kickstarter Rewards before the holiday season, which means "Santa" needs to lock surveys & shipping addresses very soon. If you are one of the few backers who still needs to fill out a survey, please complete that ASAP, so we can ensure that you receive your rewards. Sometimes these email communications go to the spam or promotions inbox, so check there if you haven't received yours yet. If your parent or friend pledged to the campaign for you, please check with them to see if they signed up using their own email address (in which case they would be receiving Kickstarter & BackerKit communications). Additionally, you can search for your survey and fill it out directly on BackerKit.
